The 2,670-passenger Sapphire Princess has arrived in Southampton to begin its summer season, following an extensive two-week refurbishment in Singapore.
Sapphire Princess spent 38 days cruising from Singapore, via the Indian Ocean and Europe visiting 17 ports of call before arriving in Southampton on 05 May 2018. It is the first time the cruise ship have ever visited Europe and the United Kingdom.

Princess Cruises has announced its 2020 world cruise on the 670-passenger Pacific Princess. The cruise will visit some 42 ports of call, 26 countries on five continents.
The 2020 World Cruise will depart Ft. Lauderdale on 05 January 2020. The 111-day voyage will offer a similar cruise to the 2019 World Cruise due to popular demand. During the cruise Pacific Princess will sail 34,287 nautical miles.

Sapphire Princess is expected to arrive in Southampton on 01 May 2018. Before arriving into Southampton the ship will spend 38 days cruising from Singapore, via the Indian Ocean and Europe visiting 17 ports of call.
Princess Cruises has announced that its next new cruise ship will be named Sky Princess and is to offer cruises around the Mediterranean from October 2019.
The brand new 143,700 gross tonne ship will be the fourth ship in the cruise line's successful Royal-class of ships, with sister ships Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess already in service. A fifth ship is expected to launch in November 2020. Princess Cruises has announced that Yao Ming and his wife, Ye Li, will be the Inaugural Cruise Ambassadors for the cruise line in China and will officially name the new Majestic Princess.
The ceremony and official naming will take place on board Majestic Princess in Shanghai on 09 July 2017, as the culmination of weeks of celebrations. The celebrations will uphold maritime traditions as well as featuring traditional Chinese, contemporary Chinese and western-inspired cultural performances. Princess Cruises is launching a one-day only promotion for UK cruisers, allowing them to secure their next cruise for just £1!
The promotion applies to any cruise with Princess Cruises departing on or after 01 December 2017. The full payment for cruise bookings is not due until 90 days before departure. Some cruise bookings also offer on board spending money of up to $350 per stateroom. The newest and largest cruise ship in the Princess Cruises fleet, Majestic Princess, made its maiden call to Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore on 18 June 2017.
The ship arrived in Singapore, completing a 28-night cruise with started in Rome on 21 May 2017. Princess Cruises’ newest cruise ship, Majestic Princess is to be based in Australia from September 2018 and will no longer be sailing from China year-round as previously announced by Princess Cruises.
Majestic Princess is the first cruise ship which Princess Cruises have specifically designed from the Chinese cruise market. The 3,560-passenger ship is the third in the cruise line’s Royal-Class of ships and sister to Royal Princess and Regal Princess. Princess Cruises has taken delivery of its latest new build cruise ship, the 143,600 gross tonne Majestic Princess. The new cruise ship has been under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy and was delivery to Princess Cruises on 30 March 2017.

A crew member on board Emerald Princess has died following a gas explosion which took place whilst the ship was docked in Port Chalmers in New Zealand on 09 February 2017.
