Azamara Pursuit has completed a scheduled drydock at Seaspan’s Vancouver Drydock in British Columbia, Canada, as part of the ship’s regular maintenance program.
The drydock provided an opportunity for the cruise line to carry out important maintenance and inspections to ensure the vessel was ready to return to service.
Azamara Pursuit resumed operations in late August with a 21-night repositioning cruise from North America to Asia. Departing from Vancouver, the itinerary includes a series of calls in Alaska before the ship crosses the Pacific Ocean to Japan.
The Alaska portion of the voyage includes stops in Ketchikan, Klawock, Icy Strait Point, Haines, Valdez, Seward, Kodiak and Dutch Harbor. After crossing the Pacific, the ship will visit the Japanese ports of Miyako and Hitachinaka before completing the voyage in Tokyo. Following the repositioning cruise, Azamara Pursuit is scheduled to operate itineraries across the Far East, Southeast Asia and Australia through the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Azamara is preparing a major fleet refurbishment initiative under its Azamara Forward program.
Azamara Quest will be the first ship to undergo a refurbishment as part of the initiative, with the vessel set to debut a range of new features ahead of its 2027 World Cruise. The project will include upgrades to public areas, refreshed staterooms and a new overall design. The Quest will also introduce a new penthouse deck featuring 12 new suites, an accommodation area exclusive to the ship. Azamara Onward is scheduled to become the second vessel to receive the Forward upgrades, with its refurbishment planned during a two-week drydock in late 2027.
