Celebrity Beyond is set to return to the United Kingdom in 2028, offering a series of cruises from Southampton as part of Celebrity Cruises’ largest-ever European season.
Built in 2022, the 3,260-passenger ship will return to the UK homeport with several new features following a planned refurbishment. The updates will include a refreshed pool deck and new dining venues.
Celebrity Cruises said the deployment will mark Celebrity Beyond’s first return to European waters since 2023.
During its Southampton season, the ship is scheduled to operate seven- to 14-night cruises to destinations including Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia. Among the highlights will be two-week itineraries combining Norway and Iceland, with calls at Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur, as well as Geiranger, Alesund, Flam, Nordfjordeid and Bergen. Before beginning its Southampton deployment, Celebrity Beyond is scheduled to undergo a renovation focused on updating several guest areas. New additions will include Bora, a Mediterranean restaurant, and the Celebrity Pool Club, which Celebrity describes as an elevated poolside experience. The redesigned area will also feature two new food and beverage concepts: Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol. Celebrity Cruises will operate eight ships in Europe in 2028, with Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Summit joining Beyond in Northern Europe and Iceland. Celebrity Apex will offer itineraries covering Scandinavia, the Baltic and the British Isles, while Celebrity Summit is scheduled to operate roundtrip cruises to Iceland. Meanwhile, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Constellation will operate cruises in the Mediterranean and Western Europe. According to Celebrity Cruises, the 2028 deployment will be the first time four of its Edge-class ships have sailed in Europe at the same time. Celebrity Infinity will also remain in the region as part of its year-round European program, offering Eastern Mediterranean itineraries during the summer and cruises to the Canary Islands during the winter.
