The major refurbishment is planned prior to the ship’s inaugural season in Alaska in 2026. The newly introduced Yacht Club, a first on board any Musica-class ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, will include 63 new suites within five categories, including ocean-view balconies and ultra-luxurious Royal Suites, with their own private whirlpools. The Yacht Club area will also include an exclusive MSC Yacht Club Restaurant and Topsail Lounge, as well as a private sun deck offering a Grill and Bar as well as chic cabanas, whirlpools and cocktails.
Further improvements to MSC Poesia will include the addition of two speciality restaurants: Butcher’s Cut, an American-styles Steakhouse and the Katio Sushi Bar. Both venues can be found about the newer larger ships in the MSC Cruises fleet. The current wine bar will be transformed into the All-Stars Sports Bar. The MSC Aurea Spa will see improvements, including a new ocean-view sauna, two steam rooms, a salt room, new emotional showers, a relaxation areas and Kneipp path. To make way for these additions, the gym will be moved to Deck 14, where currently the S32 Disco is situated at the stern. The new fitness centre will boast a state-of-the-art equipment by Technogym. MSC Poesia will debut in Alaska in 2026, following a reposition voyage via the Panama Canal. During the inaugural Alaska season the ship will offer a series of seven-night roundtrip cruises from Seattle. Following this, MSC Poesia will reposition to Miami during the winter 2026-2027 season, offering longer cruises to the Caribbean and Central America.
