Majestic Princess is the first cruise ship which Princess Cruises have specifically designed for the Chinese cruise market. The ship was constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy and was delivered to Princess Cruises on 30 March 2017. Majestic Princess is the third cruise ship in Princess Cruises’ Royal-Class of ships and is sister to Royal Princess and Regal Princess. The new ship features many of the same iconic features as her sister ships but also boasts some new unique features not found on her sister ships. The ship is the first new build in the Princess Cruises fleet to feature the cruise line’s new Seawitch livery design on the bow, with her hair flowing towards the stern. At the heart of Majestic Princess is the stunning three deck high piazza-style atrium, with its circular marble floor, stain-glass dome and magnificent floating staircases. If you’re not afraid of heights, the SeaWalk located on the starboard side of Deck 16 is quite simply amazing! The glass floored cantilevered walkway extends 28 feet from the side of the ship, 128 feet above the ocean waves. On the portside is the SeaView Bar which also features a glass floor. The ship boasts an array of places to eat on board, including three main dining rooms, offering traditional dining as well as anytime dining. There are six other complimentary places to eat, which include The World Fresh Marketplace buffet, with numerous food stations, offering cuisine from around the world and endless variety. Don’t miss The Bakery which serves freshly made Western, European and Asian breads and pastries. Other complimentary dining venues include the International Café, Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Lobsters & Dim Sum Bar and Chopsticks Noodle Bar. Majestic Princess also has five speciality restaurants to choose from. Harmony is a speciality restaurant created in partnership with the former chef of Wing Lei – the first Chinese restaurant in North America awarded a Michelin star. The restaurant features Chef Richard Chen’s interpretation of classic Cantonese dishes. Chef Chen’s innovative plates demonstrate impeccable technique with a masterful balance of ingredients and flavors. Located in the atrium is La Mar, a French bistro-style dining venues with a modern twist! The Crown Grill offers an intimate dining experience, serving premium aged beef and fresh seafood in its rich wooden décor surrounds, with a theatre-style kitchen. Chef’s Table Lumiere is the perfect dining venue for special occasions. Join a select group of guest for a behind the scenes gallery tour with champagne and hors d’oeuvres, before indulging in an extravagant multi-course dinner, which is created and hosted by the ship’s Executive Chef. If you love seafood then The Ocean Terrance is the ideal dining venues for you, serving all kinds of seafood, at its stylish bar with a la carte pricing. Of course the ship also offers 24-hour room service and you can even choose to dine on your very own balcony for a truly personal and intimate dining experience. During the day there’s plenty of activities and entertainment on offer. New to Majestic Princess are the six private Sing on the Sea Karaoke suites. Each suite features its own unique colour palette and themed décor and can accommodate up to six people. Also new to Majestic Princess is the Hollywood Pool Club. Unlike her sister ships, the adults-only pool area is covered and is the perfect place to relax. The glass dome keeps the water and environment comfortable no matter the weather outside. The area features a good sized pool and two hot tubs. At night the venues transforms into a luxurious nightclub. Nearby is the relaxing Hollywood Conservatory, a lush indoor garden, with relaxing sounds of birds and comfortable furniture. Listen to live musical performances or play a game of giant chess. A first of its kind at sea is the Wishing Wall, where guests can share their dreams on a mosaic tiled wall. Majestic Princess also offers three other swimming pools, two located outside on Deck 16, whilst the other is on Deck 5 in the The Enclave at the Lotus Spa. The Enclave, with its hydro-therapy pool, steam rooms, sauna, heated stone beds and waterbeds is an ideal place to relax and unwind. The Lotus Spa offers an extensive range of treatments, from facials, teeth whitening and even acupuncher. If you like keeping fit, Majestic Princess features an expansive and well equipped state-of-the-art fitness centre. There’s even an outdoor exercise circuit on the deck. Workout and kick up a sweat whilst enjoying stunning ocean views. On Deck 18 is the Princess Sports Centre, where you can play basketball, tennis, volleyball and badminton. There are also ping pong tables, bean bag toss and giant foosball. One deck up on Deck 19 is even a miniature golf putting green. The choice of entertainment, both during the day and night is almost endless. The main entertainment venue is the Princess Theatre on Deck 6 & 7, showcasing Broadway-style production shows every night. If you like to be part of the fun ‘Princess Live!’ is a live television studio where you have the chance to take part in gameshows. During the day the venues provides non-stop entertainment, from culinary shows, live concerts and comedy acts. Majestic Princess also features a large casino, where you can try your luck at one of the many games, from blackjack, 21, craps and poker. Adjacent to the casino is a VIP Gaming area, complete with a bar and even a private gaming booth. Guests can dance the night away or listen to live night in many of the various bars on board. Not to be missed and an iconic Princess Cruises features is Movies Under The Stars. Head outside and enjoy a movie at the open-air poolside amphitheatre, whilst enjoying the complimentary popcorn! The giant screen also shows live sporting events. Kids can also have plenty of fun on board Majestic Princess. There’s something for all ages. The ship offers three dedicated areas for ages 3-7, 8-12 and 13-17. There’s everything kids love, from a soft play area, to painting, sports, dance classes and of course PlayStation, Nintendo Wii and Xbox Kinect gaming consoles. After an amazing day on board Majestic Princess, head back to your stateroom, of which there are many different categories and sizes to choose from. All staterooms are spacious and offer twin beds or a queen-size bed, refrigerator, hair dryer, flat screen TV, closet and bathroom with shower. Inside staterooms range in size from 158 to 162 sq ft. Balconies staterooms offer a little more space, ranging in size from 214 to 222 sq. ft. Relax on your own private outdoor space to relax and maybe even watch the sunset, or rise. Deluxe Balcony staterooms are slightly larger ranging in size from 233 to 279 sq. ft. These staterooms also feature a comfortable sofa. It’s worth noting that Majestic Princess does not feature any ocean view accommodation, all are insides or feature balconies. For those with a slightly bigger budget, Majestic Princess features a range of Mini Suites and Suites. Mini Suites are approximate 323 sq. ft whilst Suites range in size from 460 to 932 sq. ft. Those who choose to book a Suite will benefit from a host of extras! Majestic Princess sets sail on a four-night maiden preview cruise from Trieste, Italy on 31 March 2017. On 04 April 2017, Majestic Princess will depart from Civitavecchia on its five-night maiden cruise, sailing the Adriatic Sea.
The ship will then offer a selection of other cruises in the Mediterranean, ranging in duration from seven to twenty-eight nights, before re-positioning to Asia. Majestic Princess is to homeport in Shanghai, where it will begin cruising from 11 July 2017. Featured Images: Princess Cruises

Although your comprehensive description of the Majestic Princess mentioned that ping-pong tables are present, I would like to know if they are enclosed so that outdoor elements don't negatively impact play. Can you address if the tables are indoors or surrounded by some enclosures?
