Celebrity offers a variety of rooms to suit all needs. This includes well-appointed interior, ocean view and balcony cabins, as well as what the line terms Concierge Class cabins, which add a number of additional perks including priority boarding and a concierge service. Then there’s Aqua Class, offering all the amenities of Concierge Class, but adding in an exclusive restaurant, Blu, unlimited access to the Persian Garden spa lounge and other amenities.

As part of this, Celebrity offer a range of suites of all different sizes and budgets. Of all of this, the most iconic has to be the Iconic Suite, found on the Celebrity Edge Class. These stylish and contemporary spaces include floor to ceiling windows above the bridge of the ship, two large bedrooms, expansive bathrooms, living and dining space, butlers’ pantry, and a large sundeck, featuring a jacuzzi, to spread out in. Honestly, it’s on another level.

Foodie heaven

Celebrity ships are a foodie heaven, with a variety of venues serving cuisines to satisfy any appetite. This includes the complimentary main and alternative restaurants, as well as a variety of specialty (for fee) dining. This ranges from upscale steak restaurants, to elevated French cuisine and authentic Italian. On the more quirky side there is Le Petit Chef, where your table literally comes to life with animated characters who “prepare” each course before you’re served the dish.

Always included

Celebrity is an all-inclusive brand, offering drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities in every sailing. This makes it incredible value for money when you consider the other areas we’ve spoken about here. You can further upgrade your experience on board with premium drinks, shore excursion and on board credits.

And of course, for me what makes a good cruise experience great is the staff and service you receive. Celebrity provide a superb service wherever you may find yourself on board. They will try to anticipate your needs and provide special touches throughout your journey.

They’ve got the Edge

Celebrity is an innovative brand where it tries to push the boundaries of design. For instance, with the Solstice class of five ships, which first debuted on 2008, they introduced a new area on the top of the ship called the Lawn Club. And yes you’ve guessed it, it is a real lawn where people can sit, relax or play lawn games. It’s a great space to experience, especially whilst looking out over the sea.

In 2018 Celebrity launched its newest ship concept, the award-winning Celebrity Edge, followed by her sister Celebrity Apex in 2021. Using some of the world’s best interior designers, Edge has reimagined the cruise experience. This includes the Infinite Veranda stateroom, where at the touch of a button the large winter garden living space becomes the balcony. The ship features a number of novel and innovative spaces including the Magic Carpet. Cantilevered over the side of the ship, this tennis court-sized space will move vertically between different decks transforming into different venues, including bars and eateries, depending on where it is situated. This will be taken even further with the delivery of Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Ascent from 2022.
