AIDA Cruises has announced that its newest cruise ship, the AIDAperla will be launching two months earlier than planned and will arrive in the Western Mediterranean in July 2017.
The 124,700 gross tonne ship will arrive in Palma de Mallorca on 01 July 2017 and offer seven-night cruises, visiting Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Corsica and Livorno.
The new ship will take over the cruises of AIDAbella in July and August 2017. AIDAbella will move to Northern Europe, with further detailed to be announced at a later date.
According to the AIDA Cruises, those who are already booked on a cruise on board AIDAbella between 30 June and 26 August 2017 will be offered a chance to change ships to AIDAperla.
In September 2017, AIDAperla will resume her previously announced itineraries, sailing the Western Mediterranean on four different cruise itineraries.
AIDAperla will then reposition to Northern Europe in summer 2018, taking over from her older sister ship AIDAprima, departing from Hamburg on seven-night cruises visiting Southampton, Le Havre, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam.
I HEARD THAT THE AIDAPERLA WILL BE MASTERED BY A FEMALE CAPTAIN, IS THAT SO?
