Ambassador Cruise Line, the UK’s leading premium value, no-fly cruise line, celebrated another historic occasion, when its two ships met for the first time.
The 1,400-passenger Ambience, and 1,200-passenger Ambition, met in the English Channel on the afternoon of 15 May 2023, with passengers and crew lining the decks to witness the event.

Ambassador Cruise Line, the UK’s leading premium value, no-fly cruise line, is launching its second lady of the sea, Ambition, at an official Gala Event this evening hosted by CEO Christian Verhounig and Godmother Shirley Robertson OBE.
After an evening of celebrations, Ambition’s first guests will depart from Newcastle tomorrow (12 May 2023), travelling on her maiden voyage up to Dundee before heading to sunnier climes during her 14-night Hidden Gems of France and Spain inaugural sailing.
Britain’s newest cruise operator, Ambassador Cruise Line, is gearing up the celebrate the official launch of its second ship, Ambition.
Originally built in 1999, the 41,123 gross tonne ship has undergone a full refurbishment at the Bremerhaven shipyard in Germany, ahead of its first voyage with Ambassador Cruise Line. The upgrades took six weeks to complete, and included painting the ships new livery and the installation of state-of-the-art environmental features.

Britain’s newest cruise line, Ambassador Cruise Line, has cancelled some of its festive and new year cruises following safety concern which were found, whilst the ship was docked at London International Cruise Terminal, in Tilbury, Essex.
The faults were found on 18 December 2022, whilst docked in Tilbury. Over 1000-passengers who had embarked that afternoon for a 3-night Festive Market Getaway cruise, were informed that the cruise was cancelled whilst having dinner on board. They were unable to set sail or stay on board the ship, having to disembark by 09:30 the following morning.

Ambassador Cruise Line, which will begin the operation of its inaugural season in April, has announced today that it has made three new executive management team appointments.
Phil Gardner (CCO), Matthias Seeger (CFO) and Nick Hughes (COO) bring both substantial cruise and wider business experience to the enterprise, which also just announced its expansion plans into 2023 with the addition of a second ship to its fleet.
Signalling its confidence in the British tourism and cruise market, Ambassador Cruise Line has announced the purchase of its second ship, to be named Ambition, entering service in 2023.
Ambition, like her sister ship Ambience will offer no-fly sailings predominantly targeting the 50-plus market with a premium-value, authentic cruise experience. In addition to London Tilbury, she will also offer a summer 2023 programme of regional departures from ports such as Newcastle, Dundee, Belfast, Liverpool, Bristol and Falmouth, enabling guests across the UK to have a shorter distance to travel before experiencing Ambassador’s onboard service. The full programme is being finalised and will be on sale from Q2 2022.
