Britain’s newest cruise operator, Ambassador Cruise Line, is gearing up the celebrate the official launch of its second ship, Ambition.
Originally built in 1999, the 41,123 gross tonne ship has undergone a full refurbishment at the Bremerhaven shipyard in Germany, ahead of its first voyage with Ambassador Cruise Line. The upgrades took six weeks to complete, and included painting the ships new livery and the installation of state-of-the-art environmental features.

The 1,200-passenger ship left the drydock at the shipyard on 07 May 2023, and it now on route to Newcastle in the United Kingdom. The ship will stop off at Kristiansand in Norway before arriving in Newcastle.
Ambition will be officially named by Shirley Robertson, OBE in Newcastle on 11 May 2023. The next day the ship will set sail on its maiden voyage with Ambassador Cruise Line, visiting France and Spain on a 14-night itinerary.
