The 1948-built cruise ship Astoria has entered dry dock in Lisbon ahead of her farewell cruise season with Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
During the dry dock Astoria will undergo routine maintenance. The 550-passenger cruise ship is chartered by the British cruise operator, Cruise & Maritime Voyages and is scheduled to resume cruises from London, Tilbury on 09 March 2017.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages first chartered the ship in 2014, when it was named Azores. The ship was renamed to Astoria in 2015 but was originally launched as Stockholm in 1948.
Astoria will depart on her last chartered cruise with Cruise & Maritime Voyages on 26 April 2017. The 11-night cruise will return to London, Tilbury on 07 May 2015.
From 16 May 2017 until 27 October 2017, Astoria will be chartered by Rivages du Monde. It is yet unknown what will happen to the ship following her final charter cruise with the French company.
