Originally launched in 1948 as Stockholm, but now known as Astoria, the world’s oldest cruise ship is to return to the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet in spring 2018.
Despite announcing that 2017 would be the ‘farewell season’ for Astoria, the British cruise operator Cruise & Maritime Voyages are to offer a number of cruises on 550-passenger cruise ship from London, Tilbury in 2018.
Astoria will offer a total of six different cruise itineraries with Cruise & Maritime Voyages in 2018.
The first, a six-night cruise to Amsterdam, Antwerp and Rouen and Honfleur departs on 08 March 2018. An eleven-night cruise will offer the chance to cruise around the British Isles.
A nine-night cruise will cruise European rivers and transit the Kiel Canal, visiting ports such as Amsterdam, Hamburg and Copenhagen. Another nine-night cruise will cruise Scotland and the Faroes, whilst another will visit the Baltic.
Her final cruise with Cruise & Maritime Voyages in 2018, will depart London, Tilbury on 21 April 2018. The 14-night cruise will visit some of the isles in Scotland, visit Belfast and Dublin in Northern Ireland.
