Azamara Pursuit arrived at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 04 April 2018, where the ship will undergo an extensive interior refurbishment.
Outfitting specialist MJM Group will manage the four-month refurbishment of the cruise ship. It is the first time that a luxury cruise ship has been refurbished at Harland & Wolff. The shipyard is famous for being the birthplace of the Titanic.
The ship arrived in Belfast after setting sail from the Grand Bahama shipyard in Freeport, Bahama where the ship spent around two-weeks in dry-dock.
The refurbishment work in Belfast is expected to be completed in July. The maiden voyage of Azamara Pursuit will depart Southampton on 01 August 2018 cruising to Norway.
The official naming of Azamara Pursuit will take place in Southampton on 28 August 2018. It will be the first time that Azamara Club Cruises has officially named a new ship. The currently two ships in the fleet, Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey both immediately entered service in 2007.
