Carnival Cruise Line took delivery of the brand new 133,500 gross tonne Carnival Horizon on 28 March 2018 at the Fincanteri shipyard in Italy.
Carnival Horizon is the 26th cruise ship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet and a sister ship to Carnival Vista which launched in 2016.

The 3,954-passenger ship will depart Barcelona, Spain on 02 April 2018 on its inaugural 13-day Mediterranean cruise. The ship will offer three further cruises from Barcelona before crossing the Atlantic and arriving into New York on 23 May 2018.
During an overnight gala on board the Carnival Horizon in New York City the ship will be officially named by its godmother, the Grammy award-winning music artist and acclaimed actress Queen Latifah.
