Cunard Line has announced that its 2,092-passenger cruise ship, Queen Elizabeth will spend two months in Australia in 2019. Queen Elizabeth will offer a total of seven cruises from Sydney and Melbourne. It will be the first time that Cunard Line have based one of its ships in Australia. Queen Elizabeth will arrive in Australia on 04 February 2019, during a 16-night cruise segment from Cape Town in Africa to Fremantle in Australia. The ship will depart Fremantle on a six-night cruise to Melbourne, visiting Adelaide and Hobart.
From Melbourne, Queen Elizabeth will complete a seven-night cruise which will visit Kangaroo Island, Adelaide and Hobart. This will be followed by a three-night cruise from Melbourne to Sydney, departing on 17 February 2019. Departing on 20 February 2019, a 14-night cruise to New Zealand will visit Fiordland, Christchurch, Akaroa, Wellington, Auckland and Bay of Islands. Queen Elizabeth will depart Sydney on a five-night cruise on 04 March 2019, visiting Hobart and Port Arthur. Another three-night cruise will be offered on 09 March 2019, this time cruising from Sydney to Melbourne. Departing from Melbourne, Queen Elizabeth will offer a six-night cruise which includes an overnight stay in Hobart and a visit to Port Arthur. A 12-night cruise to New Zealand depart on 18 March 2019 will see Queen Elizabeth visit Picton, Marlborough Sound, Wellington (overnight), Akaroa, Christchurch and Fiordland. Queen Elizabeth will then continue its 2019 Cunard World Voyage. A 20-night cruise segment will depart Melbourne and cruise to Yokohama in Japan. The visit will visit Sydney and Brisbane. The cruises are due to go on sale from 30 March 2017.
