The award-winning actress, author and producer, Dame Joan Collins is to be the godmother to the newest river cruise ship set to join the Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection fleet in March 2017. The new river cruise ship, S.S. Joie de Vivre has been designed to cruise the Seine River and will be based in Paris, docking in the heart of the French capital. The 128-passenger ship will reflect all things French, from French cuisine and wine, to art, music and design. She epitomizes the 'joy of living' philosophy that is reflected in every bold detail and gentle touch of our newest Super Ship." Dame Joan Collins, said: "I hold France and its 'City of Light' close to my heart, and now, thanks to Uniworld, my ties to the beautiful country are even closer. I am honoured to be the Godmother of the S.S.Joie de Vivre and welcome guests from all over the world to fall in love with Paris just as I have." The officially christening of the S.S. Joie de Vivre will take place on 27 March 2017.
