P&O Cruises Australia has announced that Dora the Explorer, a popular Nickelodeon character, is to be the Godmother for the cruise line’s newest ship to join the fleet, Pacific Explorer. Dora the Explorer will be Godmother at the P&O Cruises Australia’s Nautical Nonsense Nickelodeon Welcome Party, which will take place on board the ship whilst docked in Sydney Harbour on 02 July 2017. At the official christening party, Dora will be joined by other Nickelodeon characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Sture Myrmell, President, P&O Cruises Australia, said: “In keeping with the ship’s family appeal, it felt only fitting to invite a much loved household name like Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer to be godmother. She’s a family favourite, enjoys adventure and trying new activities and is a perfect fit to help showcase all that our ship has to offer.” Box Cox, Vice President & General Manager, Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand, said: “We’re excited for Dora to take on her new role as godmother of Pacific Explorer. Nickelodeon is synonymous with family entertainment and we can’t wait to bring our characters onboard this fantastic ship to host the best family party yet.” Pacific Explorer is the fifth ship in the fleet and arrived in Sydney on 19 June 2017. The ship was formerly operated by Dawn Princess. P&O Cruises Australia are offering you the chance to meet Dora and other favourite Nickelodeon characters. Enter online at www.nick.com.au/win.
