MSC Seaview has floated out of the dry dock at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The ship is the second in the new Seaside Class of cruise ships from MSC Cruises.
The 5,179-passenger MSC Seaview will launch in June 2018. The ship will cruise the Western Mediterranean before repositioning to Brazil in December 2018.
The first ship in the new Seaside Class of ships, MSC Seaside is also currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard and is expected to launched in November 2017.
Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises, said: “The float out of MSC Seaview is another significant milestone in the expansion of our fleet. She is part of a ten year investment plan that will have already seen the delivery of six new ships by 2020.”
