Princess Cruises has taken delivery of its latest new build cruise ship, the 143,600 gross tonne Majestic Princess. The new cruise ship has been under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy and was delivery to Princess Cruises on 30 March 2017. Majestic Princess is the first cruise ship which Princess Cruises have specifically designed from the Chinese cruise market. The 3,560-passenger ship is the third in the cruise line’s Royal-Class of ships and sister to Royal Princess and Regal Princess. The new ship will offer many of the same iconic features, seen on her sister ships, such as the Piazza atrium and the glass floored SeaWalk. The new ship which is destining for China will however boast some new unique features not found on her sister ships.
Majestic Princess will feature a number of new venues on board, including two new speciality restaurants and private karaoke rooms each fitted with sofas, large TV screens and a mini-bar. These are just some of the changes to the latest Royal-class cruise ship. Majestic Princess will set sail on a four-night maiden preview cruise from Trieste, Italy on 31 March 2017. On 04 April 2017, Majestic Princess will depart from Civitavecchia on its five-night maiden cruise, sailing the Adriatic Sea. The ship will then offer a selection of other cruises in the Mediterranean, ranging in duration from seven to twenty-eight nights, before re-positioning to Asia later this year.
