The brand new cruise ship, Mein Schiff 6, which was constructed at the Meyer-Turku shipyard in Finland, has departed the shipyard to begin in sea trails.
The 99,800 gross tonne cruise ship is the fourth new build cruise ship constructed for TUI Cruises. The ship can accommodate 2,700 passengers.
Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 both sailed with another cruise line before joining TUI Cruises. The two ships will be leaving the fleet and replaced with the new Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2. The two new build cruise ships will be the largest ships constructed for TUI Cruises and will arrive in 2018 and 2019.
Meanwhile Mein Schiff 6 is due to join the TUI Cruises fleet in May 2017, setting sail on its inaugural voyage on 16 May 2017, from Kiel in Germany.
