During the delivery of MSC Seaside at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, MSC Cruises announced that it has ordered two new Seaside EVO cruise ships.
The two new ships will be constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard and are expected to be delivered in 2021 and 2023, costing a combined total of approximately £1.6 billion.
The ships will be a larger version of the Seaside Class prototype, at 169,380 gross tonnes and measure 339 metres in length. The two ships will feature an additional deck, offering a larger Yacht Club area and will have a passenger capacity of 5,646.
MSC Cruises now has a total of ten new cruise ships to be delivered between 2018 and 2026, with at least one ship being delivered each year.
