MSC Grandiosa has been floated out at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, where the ship is currently under construction.
The 181,000 gross tonne ship was moved to a wet dock, where work will continue on the ship until it is delivered to MSC Cruises in October 2019.
MSC Grandiosa is the first Meraviglia-Plus class of ship for MSC Cruises, which in an based upon the slightly smaller Meraviglia class.
MSC Grandiosa will feature an even larger Mediterranean-style indoor promenade, with a 98.5 metre LED Sky screen above. The ship will also feature two brand new show from Cirque du Soleil at Sea. MSC Grandiosa will also be the second ship in the MSC Cruises fleet to feature the cruise industry’s first digital personal assistant, Zoe.
MSC Cruises are expected to take delivery of MSC Grandoisa on 31 October 2019. The ship will offer regularly cruise from Genoa, Italy.
