MSC Cruises has taken delivery of its latest new ship, MSC Seaside. The brand new ship was handed over to MSC Cruises at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The 154,000 gross tonne MSC Seaside is the first ship of its class to be built for MSC Cruises and can accommodate 5,179 passengers. A sister ship, MSC Seaview is currently under construction at the ship and is due to be delivered in June 2018.
The new ships feature a unique design, brining guests closer to the sea and allowing them to make the most of warmer weather. The ships feature many spacious outdoor spaces, including a wraparound promenade deck. The new ships also feature an increased number of balconies cabins.
Passenger amenities on board include various bars, lounges and restaurants, an aqua park with 5 water slides as well as the longest zip line at sea.
MSC Seaside will depart Trieste, Italy on 30 November 2017 on a 22-night cruise to Miami, where the ship will homeport. The ship will be officially named in Miami on 21 December 2017.
