The 154,000 gross tonne MSC Seaview which is being constructed at the Fincanteri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy set sail from the shipyard to undergo sea trials on 23 April 2018.
The new ship, which is the second Seaside-class ship to be built at the shipyard for MSC Cruises, is expected to be at sea for five days before it arrives back at the shipyard on 28 April 2018.
The 5,179-passenger MSC Seaview will launch in June 2018 and will be christened in Civitavecchia. The ship will cruise the Western Mediterranean before repositioning to Brazil in December 2018.
The new innovative ships feature a unique design, bringing guests closer to the sea and allowing them to make the most of warmer weather. The ships feature many spacious outdoor spaces, including a wraparound promenade deck. The new ships also feature an increased number of balconies cabins.
Passenger amenities on board include various bars, lounges and restaurants, an aqua park with 5 water slides as well as the longest zip line at sea.
