Cruises on board Cruise & Maritime Voyages latest new ship, Vasco da Gama went on sale on 17 May 2018. Joining the fleet in April 2019 the ship will be the sixth vessel operated by CMV.
Following in the steps of the famous Portuguese explorer, the latest edition to the CMV fleet will sail from Singapore to London Tilbury via India in April 2019 on a spectacular maiden voyage.
Guests wishing to book the maiden voyage will fly from the United Kingdom and join the ship in Singapore for the 45-night cruise back to London Tilbury. The 45-night itinerary also includes visits to Sri Lanka, Thailand, and a transit of the Suez Canal before entering the Mediterranean with an exciting range of eye-catching ports of call.
Vasco da Gama will also offer a 53-night voyage from London Tilbury to Sydney, Australia departing on 09 October 2019. This itinerary includes ports of call such as Barbados, Acapulco, islands of the South Pacific, Auckland and a transit of the Panama Canal. The ship will arrive in London Tilbury on 06 June 2019 and will stay in port overnight before departing the following afternoon onwards to Amsterdam and then Bremerhaven in Germany where the officially christening ceremony will take place on 09 June 2019. Vasco da Gama will join CMV’s German brand Transocean Kreuzfahrten with a series of cruises during the summer period in 2019 sailing from Bremerhaven and Kiel in Germany. The ship has a rich heritage and maritime pedigree and was originally launched in 1994 by Holland America Line as the Statendam. In 2015, the ship underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment. At 55,820grt and with an impressive space ratio, she will carry 1220 passengers accommodated in 630 cabins, including 100 singles and 149 balcony suites. 80% of the cabins and suites boast ocean views.
