Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that its next new ship, the fourth Breakaway-Plus Class ship, will be named Norwegian Encore.
The name of the new ship was revealed on 31 January 2018 at the steel cutting, which took place at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Stephan Schmees, Executive Board Member Project Management Ships, Meyer-Werft, said: “We are excited to start production for Norwegian Encore and to create another floating destination for Norwegian Cruise Line”.
The 167,800 gross tonne ship will accommodate nearly 4,000-passengers and will homeport in Miami from autumn 2019. Previously the ship was destined for China.
