Royal Caribbean International is celebrating LGBT Pride Month by flying the Pride Flag from every cruise ship in the fleet.
The cruise line currently operates a fleet of 25 cruise ships, with each one of them hoisting the Pride Flag on their masts this month to celebrate LGBT Pride Month.
The rainbow coloured flags are recognised across the world. The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots in June 1969.
During LGBT Pride Month many events are held across the world to celebrate equality and diversity.

I have nothing against the LGBQTX?? population. Some of my best friends are in that group. However, it offends me that RCCL would fly that flag on all of its ships. I know you have plenty of demand for your cruises and that you will not miss a few more passengers, but why on Earth would you consider openly celebrating something like this which only pertains to 5% of the population while definitely offending more than 50% of your potential passengers?

David. That is in fact me in those photos, the most senior LGBTQ officer onboard that ship, in fact 3rd in the chain of command. I can assure you that RCCL will not miss your business and if you have the views and narrow opinions that you do, you are not a fit for the types of guests that RCCL caters to. While we were the first, all the major cruise lines and majority of the smaller ones all raise the LGBTQ+ pride flag on their masts for pride month. It’s about equality for all and send the message that “love is love” period. Your statistics are also wildly wrong, the LGBTQ+ community accounts for much much more than 5% and if you come from a first world country such as the US, Canada or the UK those who hold bigoted views like yours are actually the minority of the population and well below 50%, in fact there are more LGBTQ+ people than there are those who are against them. It looks like you’re going to have to find a new way to vacation because cruise lines are very gay friendly and open about it. Perhaps Saudi Arabia is more up your alley for leisure?

Jeffrey, Thank you sooo much for straightening OP out in a very precise manner. I being bi, totally support people living in their truth. We can’t support people ignorance and false news. I being a woman of color, I chuckle that OP used “Some of my friends are in that group”. Really???

I’m 70 soon, I’ve had gay friends that I did everything with at one point but, it wasn’t pushed on me, they did what they did and I did what I did, we didn’t make it a big deal, we were friends. I’m sorry that children had to get involved with this pushing of supposedly self realization. I was called a Tomboy, I was fine with that. I wasn’t a girly girl. I experimented with some things but I love my husband. To figure out what you are takes time, let children do their thing and wait until they are ready for the conversation. Good luck, you better keep God around because no matter what happens, they can’t reproduce without male and female. God would never send a gay person to hell. That’s ridiculous, because God knows the truth of what is happening with them, and it’s not devious .
