Seabourn has announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent for the construction of two new ultra-luxury expedition cruise ships. The first vessel is expected to be delivery in June 2021 and the second is anticipated to launch in May 2022.
The new 23,000 gross tonne vessels will be 170 metres in length and will each accommodate 264 guests in 132 luxurious oceanfront veranda suites. The new ships will also meet the PC6 Polar Class standards, adding new capacity for Seabourn in Antarctica, the Artic and other exotic worldwide destinations.
Both ships will be a brand new innovative design, designed especially for the ultra-luxury expedition cruise travellers. The ships will include many features currently found on Seabourn’s ultra-luxury cruise ships but the new vessel will also feature a host of unique features designed to enhance the expedition cruise experience.
A submarine will be carried on board each of the new ships, proving an unforgettable view of the world beneath the waves. Each ship will also boast 24 Zodicas inflatable boats and a complement of kayaks. Seabourn will announce further details about the new ultra-luxury expedition ships later this year. Details of itineraries and booking availability will be released in early 2019.
