The luxury cruise ship Silver Whisper, operated by Silversea Cruises, recently emerged from dry-dock having undergone an extensive refurbishment, ready for her 117-night 2017 World Cruise.
The ultra-luxury suites were refurbished and the bathrooms were decorated with dark emperor marble flooring. The pool area was completely retiled and new chaise loungers have improved the levels of comfort and style in the outdoor spaces on board. In addition to this, two new whirlpools were added to the ship and new synthetic turf was added to the jogging track and outdoor spa decks.
Lavish new carpets and elegant hard-wood flooring have been added to The Restaurant and La Terrazza. Both venues also got new contemporary glamourous furniture.
The refurbishment of Silver Whisper is part of Silversea Cruises’ $170 million fleet refurbishment programme and the largest in the luxury cruise line’s history. Silver Discoverer and Silver Wind underwent refurbishment work in 2016. Silver Cloud is scheduled to be refurbished in late 2017 and will also be converted into an ice-class expedition cruise ship.
The 388-passenger Silver Whisper departed on her 117-night World Cruise on 06 January 2017. The cruise will visit 62 ports of call in 25 countries.
