Silversea Cruises has taken delivery of its brand new cruise ship, Silver Muse. The ship was delivered to the ultra-luxury cruise line from the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy on 03 April 2017. At 40,700 gross tonnes, Silver Muse is the largest cruise ship ever built for the ultra-luxury cruise line and is the first new build for Silversea Cruises in seven years. The design of the 596-passenger Silver Muse is an evolution of Silver Spirit, which launched in 2009. With Silver Muse joining the fleet, the ultra-luxury cruise line’s fleet now consists of nine cruise ships.
Roberto Martinoli, CEO, Silversea Cruises, said: “Today marks another milestone for Silversea, our guests and our colleagues as we celebrate our new flagship, Silver Muse, joining the fleet. The attention to detail throughout the ship is a reflection of our dedication, in conjunction with Fincantieri, to offer the ultimate luxury experience at sea.” Silver Muse is an all-suites ship, offering the highest number of large suites in the Silversea Cruises fleet. There ship has a number of connecting suites for families and friends travelling together. Passenger amenities on board Silver Muse include eight restaurants, the most of any ultra-luxury cruise ship, various bars and lounges, an outdoor swimming pool, three whirlpools, a beauty salon, spa and fitness centre, a library, casino, conference room and card room and a show lounge. There’s also a small children’s area and outdoor area for children. Silver Muse sets sail on her inaugural voyage on 10 April 2017 on an eight-night cruise from Monte Carlo. The ship will spend her inaugural season sailing the Mediterranean before re-positioning to the Caribbean later this year.
