Princess Cruises has announced its 2019-2020Caribbean cruise programme, which includes details about the debut of the cruise line’s newest ship, Sky Princess.
The brand new 143,700 gross tonne ship will be the fourth ship in the cruise line's successful Royal-class of ships, with sister ships Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess already in service. A fifth ship is expected to launch in November 2020.
The 3,560-passenger Sky Princess will set sail on its inaugural cruise in the Mediterranean from Piraeus on 20 October 2019. The ship will offer seven-night cruises from Civitavecchia and Barcelona. In the winter the new ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale to offer Caribbean cruises.
The new ship will arrive in Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale on 01 December 2019. After a three-day preview cruise the ship will begin alternating seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise itineraries from Ft. Lauderdale from 07 December 2019 until 04 April 2020. The cruises will offer late-night stays during visits to St. Thomas and Cozumel. The new Sky Princess and our other beautiful ships provide comfort and convenience while visiting the many diverse Caribbean islands." In total the 2019/2020 Caribbean season includes 119 departures made up of 10 different cruise itineraries. Joining the brand new Sky Princess in the Caribbean will be Caribbean Princess, Crown Princess, Pacific Princess and Regal Princess. Like Sky Princess, Regal Princess will also offer seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise itineraries from Ft. Lauderdale. Caribbean Princess and Crown Princess will offer longer 10-day and 14-day cruises to the Southern Caribbean.
