The Majestic Line’s two oldest small boutique cruise ships, Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan were originally converted from wooden fishing vessels. The first vessel, Glen Massan is now 13 years old and our second vessel Glen Tarsan is now 11 years old. During the winter months, The Majestic Line gave both of the two mini cruise vessels, a complete overhaul. Many of the improvements are unseen, such as maintaining the wooden superstructure, replacing major mechanical parts, putting in new equipment and a new galley for the Glen Massan. Some refurbishments work was carried out in the guest spaces on board the vessels too, with new panelling and a fresh new look in the deck saloon and guest cabins and new showers in the bathrooms. Feedback and comments from guests was taken into consideration and addressed - even the smallest things such as extra hooks in the cabins!
The two vessels have now completed the first cruise of the new season, a glorious 6-night voyage from Holy Loch, in the Clyde, round the Mull of Kintyre and up the coast of Argyll, visiting the long mainland sea lochs and the Isles of the Southern Hebrides on the way to Oban. In total The Majestic Line operate three small cruise vessels. The newest vessel, Glen Etive was customer built and launched in 2016.
