Not one but two cruise ships are to take shelter at the Port of Poole in Dorset as Storm Bronagh moves towards the United Kingdom.
The storm will develop across Wales and south-west England during the late hours of 20 September 2018, before moving eastwards during the 21 September, bringing gusts of wind up to 65mph in places.
The 90-passenger cruise ship Clio, which is operated by Grand Circle Cruise Line is already docked on South Quay at the Port of Poole, taking shelter from the predicted strong winds and rough seas in the English Channel.
At 06:00 on 21 September 2018, the 600-passenger cruise ship Astor, operated by Cruise & Maritime Voyages will berth at South Quay at the Port of Poole. Clio will be moved from South Quay to Bulwark Quay shortly before the larger Astor arrives in Poole Harbour.
Astor will no longer call at Poole at instead will berth at Portsmouth from 15:00 on 21 September until 20:00 on 22 September 2018.
