Virgin Voyages has released new cruise itineraries for its first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, for the autumn and winter 2020-2021 season.
Scarlet Lady is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. The adults-only ship is expected to enter service in April 2020.
The first new cruise itinerary is a sailing called ‘Mayan Sol’ a five-night cruise to Costa Maya Mexico. During the cruise, sailors will have the chance to explore Mayan ruins as well as colourful coral reefs.
The second itinerary explores Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, on a five-night ‘Dominican Daze’ sailing. Sailors will have the opportunity to admire the turquoise waters and impressive surf, trek through canyons or journey to a village selling artisan product via cable car. The final new sailing revealed by Virgin Voyages is a four-night ‘Fire and Sunset Soirées itinerary. The voyage departs Key West at sunset, after a day of cultural exploring and boating. Scarlet Lazy will then call into Bimini, Bahamas before midnight, allowing sailors to experience the Beach Club at Bimini, a private club exclusively for Virgin Voyages. Virgin Voyages has also recently announced its first LGBT+ voyage on Scarlet Lady in partnership with Atlantis Events, which has 28-years of experience in creating unique holiday experience. The seven-night LGBT+ voyage will depart Miami on 31 May 2020, sailing into Key West, Cozumel, Costa Maya and Bimini.
