Wonder of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, which is currently under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France is preparing for its float out.
The giant vessel is due to move from the dry dock to a nearby basin at the shipyard. The float out ceremony will be held on 04 September 2020.
The ship is the fifth Oasis-class vessel to be built for Royal Caribbean International. At around 230,000 gross tonnes, Wonder of the Seas will be the world’s largest cruise ship when it debuts.
Delivery of the new flagship was originally due in 2021 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the ship is now expected to be delivered to the cruise line in 2022.
