Princess Cruises has announced its 2019-2020Caribbean cruise programme, which includes details about the debut of the cruise line’s newest ship, Sky Princess.
The brand new 143,700 gross tonne ship will be the fourth ship in the cruise line's successful Royal-class of ships, with sister ships Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess already in service. A fifth ship is expected to launch in November 2020.

Royal Caribbean International has announced that it is to build a huge new waterpark at CocoCay in the Bahamas, the cruise line’s very own private island. Completion is scheduled for late 2019.
The new waterpark will feature the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, the tallest waterslide in North America and a helium balloon ride.
Royal Caribbean International’s 6,400–passenger cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas will be in optimum position to witness the Total Solar Eclipse on 21 August 2017.
Oasis of the Seas will be at sea on route to Philipsburg, St. Maarten in the Caribbean when the Total Solar Eclipse will take place. The construction of the revolutionary new cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Edge, has reached a milestone at the STX shipyard in St Nazaire, France.
The first block of the ship’s keel has been lowered into the dry dock. The 875-tone section is the first of many which will make up the new cruise ship. Royal Caribbean International has officially announced the name of its fourth Oasis-class cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, following months of speculations.
Symphony of the Seas is due to launch in April 2018 and Royal Caribbean have announced cruise itineraries for the new ship, which are now available to book. Royal Caribbean International is to announce details about the 2018 – 2019 deployment for its fleet, which currently consists of 25 cruise ships, with an additional six new build cruise ships due to launch between 2018 and 2024.
The deployment of the Royal Caribbean International’s ships is expected to be announced in phases throughout March 2017 and April 2017. The opening scheduled for 2018 – 2019 deployment is as follows: Carnival Cruise Line has announced that its latest new cruise ship, Carnival Horizon, will offer cruises from Barcelona, New York and Miami during its maiden season next year.
The 133,500 gross tonne cruise ship will depart on its maiden voyage from Barcelona on 02 April 2018 and cruise the Mediterranean. Unlike her sister ship the Carnival Vista, the newer ship will offer just four cruises from Barcelona. The ship will then cross the Atlantic Ocean to New York in May 2018. Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it will be repositioning three of the cruise line’s largest ships to cruise from new homeports in 2018.
The newest ship to join the fleet, the 133,550 gross tonne Carnival Vista, will move to Galveston in September 2018. The ship will offer seven-night cruises every Sunday, cruising to the western Caribbean, visiting ports of call such as Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The new MSC Seaview which is due to launch in May 2018 is set to head to Brazil in winter 2018-2019, after completing her debut cruise season in the Mediterranean, sailing from Genoa on 7-night cruise itineraries.
MSC Splendida will no longer be re-positioned to China year-round as previously announced. The ship will now cruise from Dubai on 7-night cruises visiting Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar. Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that Norwegian Bliss will cruise from Miami in winter 2018. The winter cruise season from Miami will commence on 17 November 2018.
Norwegian Bliss will cruise seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises departing every Saturday from Miami. The cruises will visit St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas. |
