The 133,500 gross tonne Carnival Vista, which is currently undergoing repair work in a specialised floating dry dock vessel in Freeport Bahamas, is to return to service earlier than expected.
Carnival Vista was scheduled to return to her homeport of Galveston, Texas on 27 July 2019 but will instead now returned to the Port of Galveston on 23 July. The ship will sail a four-day cruise to the Western Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean International has announced that its 1992-built cruise ship, Majesty of the Seas, will offer year round cruise from New Orleans.
The 2,767-passenger ship will begin sailing from New Orleans in January 2020. The ship will homeport here until April 2021 and offer week-long cruise itineraries.
