Norwegian Cruise Line has announced Kelly Clarkson as Godmother to its newest ship, Norwegian Encore, which is set to debut in Miami in November 2019.
The announcement was made on the ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’. The cruise line’s President & CEO, Andy Stuart appeared on the daytime television show aired in the United States, to invite Kelly Clarkson to be Godmother to Norwegian Encore.

Royal Caribbean International’s newest cruise ship, Odyssey of the Seas is to homeport at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2020.
The ship, the second Quantum-Ultra class for the cruise line, will sail on its inaugural cruise from Port Everglades on 05 November 2020. 
Cruise lines have been offering their help to the Bahamas following the devastating Hurricane Dorian.
Between the major cruise lines which are providing help, the major cruise corporations, including Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Carnival Corporation, MSC and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, have already committed over £4 million. 
Cruise lines with ships in the Caribbean are working quickly to make changes to cruise itineraries to keep their ships out of the way of Hurricane Dorian.
The Hurricane has been intensifying and was recently upgraded to a category 4, with sustained winds of 130mph as it makes landfall with the east coast of Florida on 02 September 2019. 
Norwegian Encore, currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, was floated from the building hall on 17 August 2019.
The 169,145 gross tonne ship, which is due to join the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet later this year, was floated out during the early hours, with the assistance of tug boats.
Virgin Voyages has released new cruise itineraries for its first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, for the autumn and winter 2020-2021 season.
Scarlet Lady is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. The adults-only ship is expected to enter service in April 2020. 
The 169,145 gross tonne Norwegian Encore, which is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, is preparing to float out as it leaves the building hall.
The ship is expected to exit the giant building hall on 17 August 2019 from around 08:00 local time. Following the float out, various tests will take place in the shipyard basin. 
The 133,500 gross tonne Carnival Vista, which is currently undergoing repair work in a specialised floating dry dock vessel in Freeport Bahamas, is to return to service earlier than expected.
Carnival Vista was scheduled to return to her homeport of Galveston, Texas on 27 July 2019 but will instead now returned to the Port of Galveston on 23 July. The ship will sail a four-day cruise to the Western Caribbean. 
Royal Caribbean International has announced that its 1992-built cruise ship, Majesty of the Seas, will offer year round cruise from New Orleans.
The 2,767-passenger ship will begin sailing from New Orleans in January 2020. The ship will homeport here until April 2021 and offer week-long cruise itineraries.
Carnival Cruise Line’s has announced that its new flagship, Mardi Gras will introduce a number of new food and drinks venues when it launches in 2020.
Two of the themed zones on board the 183,900 gross tonne ship, the Summer Landing and Lido will feature new dining venues and bars.
