Five cruise ships, which were part of the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet are currently up for sale at auction, following the demise of the cruise line in July.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages was Britain’s largest independent cruise line and was foundered in 2010. The cruise line operated the Marco Polo, Magellan, Columbus, Astor, Vasco da Gama and Astoria.

The inaugural cruise programme for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new flagship Bolette has been unveiled, including a number of brand new itineraries and a series of UK cruises, with guests able to book from 07 September 2020.
Bolette’s maiden voyage will be a seven-night ‘Scotland & Northern Ireland’ cruise, setting sail from Southampton on 5th March 2021. This will be followed by two further UK cruises before Bolette sets sail for the warmer climates of the Azores and Madeira over the Easter break.
The 58,250 gross tonne Spirit of Adventure has arrived in Emden, Germany having successfully completed its conveyance of the Ems River from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg.
Spirit of Adventure is the second brand new cruise ship built at Meyer Werft shipyard for Saga Cruises, following the launch in Spirit of Discovery in 2019.

Cunard Line and the shipyard Fincantieri celebrated the start of construction for the company’s 249th ship.
The yet-to-be-named Cunarder will be the second largest ship to fly the Cunard flag when she launches in 2022. The 113,000 gross tonne ship will accommodate 3,000 guests.

P&O Cruises has announced and confirmed that is will be cancelling a number of cruises to Dubai and the Arabian Gulf , as a result of tensions between Britain and Iran in the Straits of Hormuz.
As a result cruises on board Oceana have will be cancelled. Passengers booked on the affected cruise itineraries will be issued a full refund.
