Celebrity Cruises has announced that the highly anticipated inaugural season of Celebrity Apex has been expanded.
Construction of the new vessel is ahead of schedule, so, the second revolutionary Edge Class ship will now be completed ahead enter service earlier than anticipated in 2020.

P&O Cruises are claiming its brand new ship, Iona, which is set to launch in May 2020, will offer the ultimate family cruise experience.
The 183,900 gross tonne cruise ship will be the largest ever built specifically for the British cruise market and will boast many exciting new features and venues for the cruise line.
The much loved 1995-built cruise ship Oriana has set sail on her last cruise with P&O Cruises from her homeport of Southampton.
Oriana will leave the P&O Cruises fleet in August 2019, after 24 year of service. The 1,880-passenger ship is heading to China to be re-named and join another cruise line.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages have advised that its flagship, Columbus will resume service on her scheduled cruise program from London, Tilbury on 11 July 2019, following an enforced dry docking period.
Columbus reportedly hit an unknown object whilst leaving Rotterdam sometime last month and was checked by divers before continuing onwards to the Norwegian Fjords. The ship later however returned to Rotterdam for further checks to be carried out. As a result Cruise & Maritime Voyages had to cancel a number of cruises.

The first ever new build cruise ship for Saga, the 58,250 gross tonne Spirit of Discovery has been delivered to the cruise line from Meyer Werft shipyard.
The delivery ceremony and hand over of the ship took place in Emden, Germany on 24 June 2019. The ship will soon sail for Dover, United Kingdom, where it will arrive on 28 June 2019.
Saga has announced that HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will be Godmother of its newly built boutique cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery.
The naming ceremony will take place in Dover, Kent, on 5 July 2019. She will be the first cruise ship to be named at the Port of Dover for over a decade, and the first to be docked at Dover Western Docks following the £250m redevelopment of the area.
Saga’s first ever new build cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery has complete the conveyance from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to the North Sea.
The 58,250 gross tonne vessel, left the shipyard on 26 May 2019, completing its conveyance the following day.
Celebrity Edge, the newest and most advanced ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet arrived in Southampton for the first time on 13 May 2019.
The ship launched in November 2019 and debut in the Caribbean before crossing the North Atlantic to Europe for her European debut. |
