Royal Caribbean International has revealed further details about its first Quantum-Ultra ship, Spectrum of the Seas which is due to launch in spring 2019.
The 168,666 gross tonne cruise ship currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany is being specifically designed for the Asian cruise market.

Celebrity Cruises have revealed further details about its upcoming new cruise ship, Celebrity Edge which is due to launch in December 2018. The ship is currently under construction at the STX shipyard in France.
At an event in London on 17 May 2018 the cruise line revealed further details about The Spa which will be on board the exciting new cruise ship. Present at the event was Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President & CEO, Celebrity Cruises and Jo Rzymowska, Vice President, Celebrity Cruises, UK & Ireland and Asia.
Azamara Pursuit arrived at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 04 April 2018, where the ship will undergo an extensive interior refurbishment.
Outfitting specialist MJM Group will manage the four-month refurbishment of the cruise ship. It is the first time that a luxury cruise ship has been refurbished at Harland & Wolff. The shipyard is famous for being the birthplace of the Titanic.
Azamara Club Cruises has officially taken ownership of its third ship, the former P&O Cruises’ ship Adonia, soon to be known as Azamara Pursuit.
Adonia arrived at the dry-dock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahama on 14 March 2018, where Carnival Corporation, the owners and partner company of P&O Cruises, finalised paperwork and officially transferred the vessel to Azamara Club Cruises.
The 694-passenger Azamara Journey set sail from Sydney, Australia on 07 March 2018 on it's 2018 World Journey.
The 102-day voyage is the first time Azamara Club Cruises has offered a world cruise. The voyage will visit 60 ports, 29 countries and include 18 late night stays and 13 overnight stays.

Azamara Club Cruises has announced that the new addition to its fleet, Azamara Pursuit will be officially named in Southampton.
The new ship will become to third ship in the Azamara Club Cruises fleet and is currently owned and operated by P&O Cruises as Adonia, regularly sailing from Southampton.
Cunard Line has announced that it will build a new ship, which will join Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth as part of the iconic Cunard fleet in 2022.
The new ship will be the first new Cunard ship in 12 years and will also be the first time since 1998 that Cunard have operated four ships simultaneously. The investment in the new ships clearly demonstrated the ambitious plans Cunard has globally.
Saga has announced that is has ordered a second new build cruise ship, which will be named Spirit of Adventure and will launch in summer 2020.
The new ship will be a sister ship to the first ever new build ship for Saga, Spirit of Discovery, which is due to launch in July 2019. |
