Azamara Club Cruises has officially taken ownership of its third ship, the former P&O Cruises’ ship Adonia, soon to be known as Azamara Pursuit.
Adonia arrived at the dry-dock at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, Bahama on 14 March 2018, where Carnival Corporation, the owners and partner company of P&O Cruises, finalised paperwork and officially transferred the vessel to Azamara Club Cruises.

Royal Caribbean International has announced further details about some of the new features that will be added to Independence of the Seas during the ship’s upcoming refurbishment.
Independence of the Seas will return to Southampton in May 2018 following her refurbishment. The ship will be the first in the fleet to feature virtual reality trampolines.
Azamara Club Cruises has announced that is new ship, Azamara Pursuit is to be refurbished at the iconic Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The cruise line has also announced a new maiden voyage, which is now on sale, departing Southampton on 01 August 2018. The new 12-night cruise will visit Norway.
Royal Caribbean International has announced some of the new features that will be installed on the Independence of the Seas during its refurbishment in April 2018.
The 3,634-passenger cruise ship is popular amongst cruisers in the United Kingdom and will cruises from Southampton throughout summer 2018. The Majestic Line’s two oldest small boutique cruise ships, Glen Massan and Glen Tarsan were originally converted from wooden fishing vessels. The first vessel, Glen Massan is now 13 years old and our second vessel Glen Tarsan is now 11 years old.
During the winter months, The Majestic Line gave both of the two mini cruise vessels, a complete overhaul. Many of the improvements are unseen, such as maintaining the wooden superstructure, replacing major mechanical parts, putting in new equipment and a new galley for the Glen Massan. British-based cruise line, Cruise & Maritime Voyages has taken delivery of its new flagship Columbus, which was most recently known as Pacific Pearl and operated cruises with P&O Cruises Australia.
The ship was originally launched in 1989 and has been operated by a number of cruise lines. Pacific Pearl has now completed her farewell voyage from Australia to Singapore, where the ship will undergo a refurbishment. Cunard Line’s 2,014-passenger Queen Victoria is to undergo an extensive month long refurbishment, which will see new balcony staterooms added to the stern and upgrades to the current venues on board.
The planned refurbishment follows on from the success of the ‘remastering’ of Cunard Line’s flagship, Queen Mary 2, which took place in 2016. The ‘remastering’ of Queen Victoria will see a total of £34 million spent upgrading the refurbishing the ship. The 1,546-passenger Pacific Dawn, which is operated by P&O Cruises Australia, has entered dry dock in Singapore, where it will undergo an extensive refurbishment before setting sail again in March 2017.
New features will be added to the Australian based cruise ship, including the cruise line’s first ever state-of-the-art waterpark, two waterslides, an improved buffet area and a modernised nightclub. The 1948-built cruise ship Astoria has entered dry dock in Lisbon ahead of her farewell cruise season with Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
During the dry dock Astoria will undergo routine maintenance. The 550-passenger cruise ship is chartered by the British cruise operator, Cruise & Maritime Voyages and is scheduled to resume cruises from London, Tilbury on 09 March 2017. Carnival Cruise Line’s 1991-built Carnival Ecstasy has emerged from dry dock following a multi-million dollar refurbishment, which saw various new dining and beverage venues added to the ship.
