 Harry Cotterill with his drawing of Grand Mistral For those of you that follow Dream Designs Colchester closely, you may remember that on August 27th 2012 we visited Harwich International Port to attempt to present our drawing of Grand Mistral to the Captain. Unfortunately we were unable to arrange a visit to the ship, but still wanted to see the vessel berthed alongside the cruise terminal. We also still took the decision to especially assign a drawing of Grand Mistral sometime before. In the end our drawing was taken aboard the vessel on our behalf by two members of the ship’s crew who we met on the dockside and were kind enough to present the drawing to the Captain. Sometime later in September 2012, we received an email from the Master of Grand Mistral, Captain Antonio F. Toledo. Master of Grand Mistral, Captain Antonio F. Toledo, said: “ Many thanks for your drawing, it is really good. I already found a good place for it and as soon as the frame is ready it will be in place. It will be my pleasure to have you on board next time the Grand Mistral calls Harwich, you will be very much welcome on board.”

The two drawing were sent there to our Volunteers @ Sea, Debbie & Earl, who will officially present the drawings on our behalf to the Captains of both the vessels during their very own cruises aboard the ships later this month. Debbie Richards, Volunteer @ Sea, Dream Designs Colchester, said: “First of all, I would like to thank Harry for asking Earl and I to be Volunteers @ Sea. We are honored that he asked us to take these magnificent drawings of the Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom and present them to the Captains of these two vessels. I do hope that we will be able to personally present them to the Captains.”

You may remember that in June 2012, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester celebrated his 18 Birthday aboard Queen Mary 2 with his father, Brian Cotterill. Whilst on board they had the opportunity to meet with Captain Kevin Oprey on the bridge where Harry officially presented his brand new especially assigned drawing of Queen Mary 2 which is now proudly displayed aboard. More importantly, during the special Three Queens Diamond Jubilee Voyage, Harry was invited to be a Special Guest on the Morning TV Show aboard Queen Mary 2, hosted by the Entertainment Director, Keith Maynard. Unfortunately, we have been unable to get a copy of the recording and our original attempts to make our own recording from the television screen whilst on board was not great, as the video lacked in sound. Fortunately we've been able to increase the sound, although it is not perfect, it is better than nothing!
