On Thursday 10th May 2012, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester and his father, Brian Cotterill, were welcomed aboard the 28,518 tonne, German cruise ship, Albatros, during her inaugural visit to Harwich International Port.

We first contacted Phoenix Reisen in March 2012, to request permission to visit the ship and officially present another of our especially assigned drawings on board, to the Captain and his crew.

Phoenix Reisen were kind enough to agree to welcome us aboard their beautiful vessel whilst berthed alongside the cruise terminal at Harwich International Port and meet with the Captain of the vessel to officially present our especially assigned drawing of Albatros.

Michael Schulze, Director of Cruising, Phoenix Reisen GmbH, said:

" Thank for the information. Very interesting with such an age. You are welcome to present your drawing of our 'Lady Albatros' to the master and / or cruise director. "

The Captain then invited Harry and his father to tour the vessel and stay aboard to enjoy lunch, which they were more than willing to agree to. The ship's Security Officer then came to meet Harry and his father and took them on a brief tour of the vessel, including the numerous bars and lounges, restaurants, main show lounge, gallery and some of the crew areas too.
