Azura Official Drawing Presentation

On Saturday 16th June 2012, our Volunteers @ Sea, Ernie & Edna boarded P&O Cruises' Azura in Southampton before embarking on their 17 night cruise around the Mediterranean.

Ernie & Edna have been helping Dream Designs Colchester since 2010 and have previously presented a number of our especially assigned drawings on other P&O Cruises' ships, including Aurora, Oceana and Arcadia.

In June 2012, some weeks before their cruise aboard Azura, we took the opportunity to especially assign a brand new drawing of Azura for Ernie & Edna to present on our behalf!

On June 23rd 2012 during their cruise aboard Azura, Ernie & Edna were lucky enough to meet with Captain Keith Dowds in the Blue Bar and had the opportunity to officially present our brand new drawing to him personally. The ship's on board photographer was there to capture the moment too!

Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, said:

" I had great pleasure meeting with Ernie & Edna, as well as their daughter Marion earlier this week and was delighted to receive the photograph of the official presentation from them. "

He added:

" I do hope that Captain Keith Dowds was impressed with the drawing and that he might well find somewhere on board Azura to display the drawing, like many other P&O Cruises'Captains have done previously."
