Harry Cotterill, with Crystal Serenity at the Port of Dover
Yesterday, Tuesday 2nd August 2011, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester and his father Brian Cotterill, had the chance to visit the six star luxury cruise ship Crystal Serenity at the Port of Dover.

In December 2010, we especially assigned a drawing of Crystal Serenity in the hope that we would be lucky enough to have the opportunity to present the drawing to the Captain during 2011 whilst Crystal Serenity was berthed at the Port of Dover.

Later in February 2011, Dream Designs Colchester contacted The Cruise Portfolio who are the representatives for Crystal Cruises in the United Kingdom, to request permission to visit the Crystal Serenity whilst berthed at the Port of Dover on August 2nd 2011.

The Cruise Portfolio so kindly agreed to welcome us aboard, and together with Crystal Cruises’ Headquarters in the United States, promised us they would try their best to arrange for us to meet the Captain and officially present our drawing of Crystal Serenity.

Upon arriving at Dover, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, were directed to the Eastern Docks, where Crystal Serenity was berthed, along with Saga Pearl II. At approximately 10:00 the guests who had arrived early were taken upstairs to the departure lounge where complimentary drinks were available. Registration began just after 10:30 as the last guests who would be touring Crystal Serenity arrived at the cruise terminal.

Before embarking Crystal Serenity, Andy Harmer, Sales & Marketing Director, The Cruise Portfolio introduced himself to Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, as well as his father Brian Cotterill.

Once aboard Crystal Serenity, guests were taken to Palms Court, the forward observation lounge and dance floor area on Deck 12, looking over the bow of the vessel, where they were welcomed by champagne and refreshing soft drinks. A short presentation speech was then given by Michael Dupont, National Accounts Manager, The Cruise Portfolio. Following the presentation speech, the group of around 60 guests where separated into smaller groups before beginning their tour of Crystal Serenity.

Andy Harmer, Sales & Marketing Director, The Cruise Portfolio was the representative from The Cruise Portfolio who escorted Dream Designs Colchester around Crystal Serenity, along with a number of other guests. We were also joined by Philip Ordever, Vice President, International Sales & Marketing for part of the tour to the ship’s various amenities. Guests were even taken into Penthouses and Staterooms to sample the accommodation Crystal Cruises have to offer it’s guests.
