Cunard Line will shortly be taking delivery of their newest vessel, Queen Elizabeth. A Naming Ceremony will take place in the city of Southampton on Monday 11th October 2010. Cunard Line recently announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be naming the new liner! Facebook is one of our fastest growing areas and we’ve made some great contacts through the social networking site as well as finding a lot more fellow followers. Through Facebook I managed to get in touch with one of the senior members of the crew aboard the new Queen Elizabeth. He noticed my drawing I posted on my wall of my drawing displayed aboard Queen Victoria and said he would try hard to get one aboard Queen Elizabeth for me. He has since spoke to the Captain, Captain Wells and I have now kindly been invited to visit the new liner during half term on October 25th 2010, just a few weeks after she is launched by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I shall be meeting Captain Wells personally and will present my drawing of Queen Elizabeth to him. You can see the drawing here >
