Costa Luminosa berthed alongside Harwich International Port Yesterday, Thursday 12th May 2011, Dream Designs Colchester visited Harwich International Port to welcome the first cruise ship of the 2011 UK cruise season. The 92,600 tonne vessel, Costa Luminosa arrived alongside the port’s cruise terminal at approximately 08:00, before many of her passengers disembarked the ship for the various shore excursions and tours ashore across Essex and Suffolk. Costa Luminosa made her maiden call at Harwich International Port in June 2009, just days after her official naming ceremony in Italy. Dream Designs Colchester were lucky enough to have the chance to visit the vessel whilst she was berthed at Harwich International Port, where Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, had the opportunity to present his drawing of the new ship to Captain Massimo Garbarino personally. Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, said: " It was a great joy to visit Costa Luminosa during her inaugural call to Harwich International Port in 2009, especially as she had just been lunched only days before! It was a privilege to also have the opportunity to meet Captain Massimo Garbarino personally and present him with my drawing. " In June 2010, Dream Designs Colchester were invited to join a group of travel agents and Costa Cruises representatives aboard Costa Deliziosa whilst the ship was berthed at Harwich International Port during her maiden call.
