Today (Tuesday 24th August 2010) Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director Dream Designs Colchester, visited Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Black Watch while she was berthed at Harwich International Port.
Black Watch was on a ‘Around UK’ Cruise and this was the first time the ship had ever called at Harwich International Port. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ working with the Haven Gateway Partnership welcomed a delegation of local VIPs on board to visit the ship. The guests included the Mayor of Harwich and local authority representatives as well as a regional tourism bodies, such as East of England Tourism and Visit Essex.
Harry Cotterill, was given the invitation to visit the bridge and meet with the Captain of the Black Watch Captain Torbjorn Lund. Harry said "Black Watch was a wonderful vessel, she has a very intimate and friendly atmosphere. It was an honour to be part of the visit and wonderful to meet the Captain and present him with my drawing"
Harry has informed me that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines have issued a press release themselves and he will be publishing this on the Dream Designs Colchester website in the coming days, along with some of the photographs.
