I'm super excited to share that I will be cruising on board MSC Virtuosa in May 2024, sailing on a seven-night itinerary to the beautiful Norwegian Fjords!
I was going to keep it quiet until I was on board, but I can't, I'm just too excited! For sometime I have been looking for a suitable cruise to take after my upcoming undergraduate exams. (I really need a break!) I found lots of potential cruises, but lots fell during my exams or revision period, so just weren't ideal! Some although tempting, were pricey too!

When I saw that MSC Cruises were having a flash sale, and one of the itineraries and dates I was looking at was included, I just took the plunge and booked the seven-night cruise.
The cruise on MSC Virtuosa departs Southampton on 18 May 2024. The first day of the cruise will be spent at sea, as we cruise up to our first port of call, Lerwick in Scotland. The sea day will allow for plenty of time to get familiar with the massive ship, and try a few things out. Hopefully the weather is good too, especially since we will be tendering. After more than 30 cruises, I've never tendered before either! After leaving Scotland, MSC Virtuosa will cross the North Sea, and arriving in Norway. The first port here will be Nordfjordeid, followed by Flaam and finally Haugesund. We'll have another sea day on the return back home to Southampton. I've been to Flaam before, but the other two ports of call will be new to me.
I opted to pay a little extra and booked a balcony cabin. It will be nice to enjoy the views as we sailing into and out of the ports of call, as well as cruising the fjords.
Anyway... as at the time of writing this blog my exams are only days away, I best stop typing and get studying and revising again. Roll on May 18th!
