Oosterdam's ocean crossing to Seattle

Yesterday, Monday 5th December 2011, one of our most recent especially assigned drawings, departed Dream Designs Colchester, marking the start of another milestone in our illustrious history.

The especially assigned drawing of Holland America Line's Oosterdam is planned to be presented aboard the vessel to the Captain in January 2012.

Our Volunteers @ Sea, John & Marilyn have kindly agreed to present the drawing on behalf of Dream Designs Colchester, during the 7 night cruise aboard the vessel.

In July 2011, John & Marilyn were invited aboard Norwegian Pearl whilst the vessel was berthed in their home town of Seattle, where they had the opportunity to officially present our drawing to the Captain of the vessel.

Later in September 2011, John & Marilyn had the chance to officially present our especially assigned drawing of Norwegian Star to the Master of the vessel, Captain Kostas Fafalios and Hotel Director, Filippo Bertuzzi on the navigation bridge, during their 7 night cruise aboard.

Our especially assigned drawing of Oosterdam is expected to arrive at our Volunteers @ Sea's home Seattle later this month, before John & Marilyn board the vessel on January 7th 2012, embarking on their 7 night cruise. Whilst aboard the vessel it is hoped that they will be able to meet with the Captain to officially present our drawing.

In a previous blog post Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, said:

" We are delighted that our Volunteers @ Sea, John & Marilyn have agreed to officially present our drawing of Holland America Line's Oosterdam on behalf of Dream Designs Colchester during their cruise aboard the vessel." 

He added: 

" We are also excited to have such an opportunity to continue our relationship with Holland America Line. Since our drawing presentation took place aboard Eurodam in May 2009, our drawings have improved considerably and I am sure Holland America Line will acknowledge our improvements. "
