Royal Caribbean International's 225,000 tonne Oasis of the Seas at sea Dream Designs Colchester are extremely proud and honoured to be able to take this opportunity to reveal to you, our very latest and most ambitious plans for our most recent especially assigned drawing, of Royal Caribbean International's incredible Oasis of the Seas. The impressive and record breaking drawing is one of three drawings which Dream Designs Colchester have especially assigned during the course of Autumn 2011. The three drawings, include Oasis of the Seas, Holland America Line's Oosterdam, and P&O Cruises Australia's Pacific Dawn, all of which are due to be presented aboard the particular vessels to the Captains on behalf of Dream Designs Colchester in January 2012. Dream Designs Colchester has had a connection with Royal Caribbean International for a number of years now, after first making contact with the world leading cruise line in 2008. In August 2008, Jo Rzymowska, Associate Vice President & General Manager, Royal Caribbean International & Celebrity Cruises, UK & Ireland, kindly arranged for Dream Designs Colchester to visit their then newest and largest vessel, Independence of the Seas, whilst berthed alongside City Cruise Terminal, in Southampton. Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester and his parents were given the opportunity to tour the 158,000 tonne vessel with a group of expert Travel Agents from across the United Kingdom, as well as a number of potential guests. After touring the vessel, guests where invited to enjoy lunch in the main dinning room, before disembarking Independence of the Seas. During the summer of 2009, Global Cruise Services (UK) Ltd kindly agreed to present our drawing of Jewel of the Seas to the Master of the vessel, Captain James Macdonald on our behalf, while berthed alongside Harwich International Port. Captain James Macdonald later contacted Global Cruise Services (UK) Ltd, to invited Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester and his parents to visit Jewel of the Seas in August 2009. They were given the opportunity to meet with the Captain personally and were even invited to visit the navigation bridge, before exploring the ships numerous passengers facilities. In December 2009, Reggie Atwell, who is one of our many Travel Agent contacts and lives in the United States, kindly agreed to present our original drawing of Oasis of the Seas to Captain William Wright, Senior Vice President, Marine Operations, Royal Caribbean International, whilst aboard the vessel during the inaugural celebrations, before the the official naming ceremony took place later that month. After visiting the guest services desk aboard Oasis of the Seas numerous times, Reggie was finally given the opportunity to visit the navigation bridge where he met with Captain William Wright, Senior Vice President, Marine Operations, Royal Caribbean International and was given the chance to present our drawing. Our latest especially assigned drawing of Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas (right) compared to our original drawing of Oasis of the Seas which was assigned in July 2009 and later presented to Captain William Wright, Senior Vice President, Marine Operations, Royal Caribbean International in Decemeber 2009 Unfortunately we never received a reply from Royal Caribbean International or Captain William Wright, but we respect that during the time our drawing was presented aboard Oasis of the Seas, many of their staff and crew were extremely busy during the inaugural period. Since our original drawing of Oasis of the Seas was presented aboard the vessel, the quality of our drawings have improved dramatically! Our drawing have now been presented aboard many of the world's leading cruise ships and more and more are now displayed aboard for passengers and crew to enjoy! Our most recent especially assigned drawing of Oasis of the Seas is due to be presented aboard the vessel in January 2012. Daniel Blossom, who has been a keen follower of Dream Designs Colchester for quite sometime will board Oasis of the Seas on January 7th 2012. Daniel has been kind enough to agree to attempt to present our especially assigned drawing to the Captain of the vessel, during his 7 night Caribbean cruise aboard. This will be his second cruise aboard the vessel, after spending 7 nights aboard the vessel in 2010. We are currently in contact with Royal Caribbean International to discuss our ambitious plans for our especially assigned drawing of Oasis of the Seas. It is hoped they will be able to arrange for Daniel Blossom to meet with the Captain during his 7 night cruise, to officially present our drawing on our behalf. Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester, said: " We are very proud of our most recent drawing of Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas and believe that it is among our most detailed and impressive drawing to date." He added: " I really do hope that Royal Caribbean International will be as impressed by our drawing as many of our loyal followers and fans have been and that they will be kind enough to give Daniel Blossom the opportunity to meet with the Master of Oasis of the Seas to officially present our drawing on our behalf."
